GOD’S GARDEN
God looked around his garden
And saw an empty space,
Then he looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
Because he only takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never ever
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road ahead of you
And that was getting rough,
The hills were much too hard to climb
He knew you’d done so much.
So he closed your sad and weary eyes
And whispered, ‘Peace be thine.’
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us all went with you
The day that God called you home.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
